Brave Movie Review

Brave: Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse that she caused. In Pixar movies the morals of the story really stand out. For example; Wall-E, don't be fat and lazy, Up, adventure is out there, and the 3 Toy Stories, cherish your toys and treat them with kindness. In Brave it's a very mother/daughter relationship problem. For being the first Pixar Princess movie and the first Pixar movie that the main character is a girl it was a very fun experiment. Personally I was hoping she's end up with someone at the end, I mean really, you can't have a princess movie without a prince, or a thief. (But I know she has to end up with someone because she has to be Hawkeye's great-great-great-great-I don't know how many more greats-grandmother. Then Hawkeye is Katniss' great-great-great-grandfather.) Overall it was a really great movie, full of laughs and adventure. If you like Pixar you'll love Brave! (Rated PG)

The Amazing Spider-Man Movie Review

 The Amazing Spider-Man: Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy, and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors, his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.
 I know most people were thinking, 'another Spider-Man? Are you kidding me?' Personally I was against these people. 'Yeah! Let's get a good looking Peter Parker for once! One that can act!' (No offense to you Toby Maguire fans) I'm so glad they are re-doing them! It was very well done. It was very funny, and I loved how they actually explained more of Peter Parker's back-story. Stan Lee's cameo in this film was very clever and had me laughing so hard! If you love superheroes, funny films, or just need a movie to go and see this summer, The Amazing Spider-Man is the movie for you! (Rated PG-13)

Mirror Mirror Movie Review

Mirror Mirror: After a beloved King vanishes, his ruthless wife seizes control of the kingdom and keeps her beautiful 18-year-old stepdaughter, Snow White, hidden away in the palace. But when the princess attracts the attention of a charming and wealthy visiting prince, the jealous Queen banishes the girl to a nearby forest. Taken in by a band of rebellious but kindhearted dwarfs, Snow White blossoms into a brave young woman determined to save her country from the Queen. With the support of her new friends, she roars into action to reclaim her birthright and win back her Prince. This is a very clever and funny retelling of Snow White. I really enjoyed it, but if you don't like cheesy movies, this may not be the movie for you. It was really cheesy but really fun! If you like cheese and enjoy fairy-tales, this is the movie for you! (Rated PG)
